Spectacular dark smoky quartz crystals growing out of
alabaster white quartz. This combination is rarely ever seen.
Four crystal clusters from the same pocket are part of
the collection and each is uniquely different and presents
beautifully, either by itself or together. From
Minas Gerais, Brazil. Approx. 180 million years old.

A pyrite crystal cluster with highly unusual habits of sphalerite
crystals.
One side is peppered with exotically shaped
sphalerite while the other (below)
is nearly
all lustrous pyrite. Huazala Mine, Peruvian Andes.

Richard acquired the largest discovery found since the
17th Century and monumental specimens from
 his collection are now in the permanent collections of the
Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History, The Smithsonian
National Museum of Natural History, and the
Houston Museum of Science, along with several other
 museums and numerous private collections around the world.




A more than two ton giant quartz crystal, discovered in the early
1980s in Namibia, S.W. Africa. It is one of the oldest
giant crystals on the planet, dating back 520 million years which
is 250 million years older than the earliest dinosaurs.

A beautiful fossilized turtle, 97% to 98% original fossil bone,
on a matrix of textured limestone. This specimen was found
in a quarry in southwestern Wyoming and dates
back 52 million years.

This turtle was an adult male
determined by the protuberances radiating from its carapace.
  There was not sufficient limestone matrix
surrounding the fossil when it was found so it was
laid into adjoining matrix in the same quarry
